Love has very much been in the air at Peveril Homes after our Site Manager Adam Pinder and Janice recently tied the knot following a romance which started at our Appletree Meadow development in Etwall 7 years ago.
Adam, a recent LABC Regional and National Site Manager of the Year Award winner, was unaware when he was introduced to Janice in 2010 that he would eventually be tying the knot after a romance that started with an innocent introduction.
Janice was purchasing a house on on the Appletree Meadow site when she was introduced to Adam. Adam showed Janice around the site – and around what would turn out to be her new home. After Janice had left the site, Adam asked one of the Sales Assistants to ring Janice and ask if she would mind giving him her number and the rest, as they say, is history!
The pair were together for 5 years before, in September 2015, at the end of a holiday in Devon, Adam popped the question to Janice at her mother’s graveside. Both Janice’s engagement and wedding rings were bought in Devon – so this is a place that now holds a special place in Janice’s heart for a number of reasons.
“I knew after we first met that I had to get Janice’s number and find out more about her” said Adam, current site manager at Eden, Waingroves. He added “She had a special something and I’m really happy that after many happy years together, we are married and starting an exciting future together”.
Janice, a former ballet teacher and current training advisor, was overjoyed with Adam’s proposal and could not say anything other than yes!
“When we first met, I really liked Adam because he was very kind and easy to talk to. When Adam proposed, I was not expecting it at all – it was such a shock when he got down on one knee!” said Janice. “You never know how you will react in that situation until it happens – I was overcome with emotion and was so happy to finally be able to plan a wedding with a very special guy”.
Adam and Janice carried out their nuptials on 30th December 2016 at the stunning Santo’s Higham Farm Hotel in Higham, Derbyshire, in front of family and friends. They have not yet had their honeymoon, however, the couple are planning to go back to Devon later this year.
We would like to extend our best wishes to Adam and Janice from all at Peveril Homes and wish them many years of happiness together.
