Our Site Manager, Adam Pinder, has won the Local Authority Business Control (LABC) Warranty East Midlands Regional Site Manager award for a second year running for our Eden development in Waingroves, Derbyshire.
The LABC East Midlands Building Excellence Awards took place on Friday 9th June at the Athena in Leicester, and were hosted by the legendary football commentator, John Motson OBE. LABC Warranty works in partnership with LABC to provide structural warranties, and the awards are a celebration of first-rate construction carried out by building and design teams across the East Midlands.
The Site Manager Award specifically recognises the outstanding contributions of site managers “for their vision for quality in construction.” LABC Warranty Risk Management Surveyors are responsible for nominating site managers who go the extra mile. Adam – who also won the LABC Warranty’s National Site Manager of the Year Award last year – is thrilled to achieve this regional accolade for the second year running.
“This award was very unexpected – particularly as I also won it last year – so I feel enormously proud and very pleased for the whole team at Peveril Homes,” says Adam, who has been a Site Manager for us for over 12 years.
Another of our Site Managers, Jon May, was also ‘Highly Commended’ for the same award, and our Smalley Manor development in Smalley, along with Eden in Waingroves were finalists in the Best Development Awards.
“A Site Manager’s role is to ensure the work carried out at our developments is completed safely, on time, within budget and to the highest standards we demand for every Peveril home,” adds Colin Wright, Construction Director at Peveril Homes. “This recognition for both Adam and Jon is testament to their outstanding workmanship and ongoing dedication and we’d like to congratulate them on behalf of the whole team at Peveril Homes.”
With over 3000 eligible site managers, it is a great achievement to have been selected as one of the regional finalists. Mike Swatton, LABC Warranty Business Development Director and Head Judge commented, “The standard of qualifiers across the board has been exceptional, once again raising the bar for construction standards”.
Adam will now have the opportunity to retain his national title as the regional winners go forward to secure a place at the Grand Finals held later this year.
