Winter Guidance - Outside Tap
At temperatures below 5°C we advise to isolate your outside tap. There are products available on the market to help with this. The location of the tap will be pointed out to you during your Home Demonstration.
If the taps are not isolated it could cause the pipework to freeze and potentially cause a burst pipe resulting in a serious leak. To isolate the tap is a simple process.
You will need to turn the valve off whilst the outside tap is open for the remaining water to drain out. Once the winter period is over and temperatures increase then you can turn the valve back on.
Please note: any leaks reported that are of a consequence of the tap not being isolated correctly would be chargeable.
