Peveril Homes confirmed as a finalist at the coveted LABC East Midlands Building Excellence Awards 2018

Award-winning East Midlands housebuilder Peveril Homes has been named as a finalist in two separate categories for the coveted LABC East Midlands Building Excellence Awards 2018.

Peveril has been named as a finalist in the Best High Volume New Housing Development category for four sites – including Smalley Manor in Smalley, Peacehaven in Willington, Eden in Waingroves and Woodcroft in Moira.

The Best High Volume New Housing Development Award specifically recognises “new private housing sites” with criteria including “response to site constraints, external appearance and internal planning, layout grouping and landscaping and attention to safety, security and accessibility”.

The company has also been shortlisted for the Best Individual New Home award for The Lodge at Peacehaven.

The category for Best Individual New Home recognises “high quality one-off new build homes and could include ‘self-build’ or a premium single unit development” with specific criteria covering an “Outstanding project that goes above and beyond the level seen on a day to day basis with a high quality finish and detail.”

LABC Warranty works in partnership with the Local Authority Building Control (LABC) to provide structural warranties and the awards are a celebration of the very best in construction, recognising the high levels of quality and skill reached across the UK.

The award ceremony will take place on Friday 6th July at the Athena in Leicester and will be attended by a wealth of companies shortlisted across the industry.

All winning projects from the regional awards will automatically qualify for the LABC Grand Finals, taking place in London on Friday 9 November 2018.

These two LABC nominations are hot on the heels of a RoSPA President’s Award win for the Derbyshire housebuilder and for Peveril Homes Director Colin Wright, being shortlisted is a tremendous honour and demonstrates the high-quality workmanship that goes into every Peveril home – “As a company we pride ourselves on quality rather than quantity in order to build new homes that people can be proud of,”.

“We are very much looking forward to the awards night in July. Competition has been stronger than ever this year, so being shortlisted is a great accomplishment and testament to the hard-working teams both on and off-site!”
