Second time’s a charm for returning purchasers, the Cobleys!

Matching customers to their dream home while creating the perfect purchase experience, sits at the heart of every interaction Peveril Homes make – leaving cherished memories and a positive lasting impression for many years to come.

For Peveril Homes there’s no greater compliment than when purchasers choose to move into one of its homes for a second time and that’s precisely what happened with Scott and his wife Laura at Heritage Park in Tutbury.

The young family moved into their new home in June 2020 after discovering the delights of Peveril Homes Oxford 4-bedroom house style. Featuring a full-length living room, the spacious layout also offers an open plan kitchen/diner full of natural light from the overlooking garden.

Scott said: “We were really impressed with the living space. It felt like the team had taken into consideration how the home would be lived in, with the kitchen providing a great focal point. This convinced us to buy a new-build rather than our original idea of buying an older home and extending it out from the kitchen. The layout was just perfect.”

Scott and his family had a list of important criteria they were looking for in their second Peveril home so when the time came to meet with Sales Executive Sharon Thorp, pinning down the right plot was straight forward.

He explained: “When we considered moving again, we took into account a number of options. Tutbury really is perfect for us and we have a number of friends and family living close by which is ideal when raising a young family.

“Our great experience with Peveril the first time meant that buying our new home from them was an obvious decision. We really like the way that Peveril, particularly at Heritage Park, designed and built the houses with real attention to detail. A great example is the period-style features such as the detail of the brickwork around the windows. These finishing touches add a different dimension when compared to other new-build developments and really set Peveril apart.

Another consideration that was important for the family was space, they wanted to make sure the new home had room for them to grow.

Scott commented: “We’ve stayed with a 4-bedroom home but this time we have the added bonus of an en-suite off the master bedroom as well as a study downstairs. This has given us a great family space and freed up an extra bedroom thanks to the study area.”

As well as the perfect home, Heritage Park has provided the ideal location for the family both now and in the future.

Scott explains: “It’s rare to find a new development that’s so central to a village location without significantly compromising on space. Heritage Park is exactly what we were after. Both myself and my wife Laura were lucky enough to grow up in a village setting with shops, pubs and local amenities on our doorstep. Being able to bring up our son in that type of environment is really important to us.”

The sales process for Scott was a little different this time around, but only due to circumstances out of his and Peveril Homes’ control. The first coronavirus lockdown took effect while the sale of his current Peveril home and the reservation of his new property was in progress. But despite these hurdles, Scott was impressed with the way all of the team at Peveril adapted to the situation and ensured that he and his family were looked after during very unusual times.

Scott added: “The Peveril team and in particular Sharon and Alison, were great with us and let us know early on that the reservation was secure and we were under no time pressures to make snap decisions with the sale of our house. Once we came out of lockdown, we followed government guidelines to sell our existing property while completing all the necessary paperwork.

“We used Peveril’s MovePlus Assisted Purchase Scheme to reserve our new home while selling our existing home quickly and efficiently. Sharon worked with us every step of the way to make sure we were comfortable with the asking price set for our existing home and maintained constant communication when it came to considering offers.”

All in all, Scott and Laura are delighted with their new home and the couple see a bright future for their family at Heritage Park and can now look back on two enjoyable experiences with the Peveril Homes team.

Scott finished: “Our experience with Peveril has been incredibly positive. The old adage of big enough to cope and small enough to care really rings true. From the sales team through to the aftercare team, everyone knows you on a first name basis and that really makes it personal and bespoke to you. We felt comfortable right from the off knowing that we could trust the people behind the brand.

“A house is the most significant purchase you will ever make and particularly in the current climate, it’s reassuring to be able to put your full trust in a company knowing that everything will work out as you want it to.

“There’s always a small degree of uncertainty at the outset as well as a number of moving parts to consider because you are working with solicitors, estate agents and the builder. However, because of the way Peveril manages the process and keeps you updated, you feel reassured and confident that you’re definitely making the right choice. Any company is only as good as the people representing it and both of our moves with Peveril have provided us a lot of positive experiences alongside a house that we’re incredibly proud to call home.”
