We recently donated funds to improve accessibility at this year’s Crich Fete!

We are delighted to announce that we were a sponsor of this year’s Crich Fete – donating the necessary funds for organisers to improve accessibility for the yearly event that brings the community of Crich together on an annual basis.

The event was first organised three decades ago and has now become an integral part of village life – bringing hundreds of people from the local community together every year.

This year’s event, which took place on Saturday 14th July, began at Crich Recreation Ground from 1pm with live music from local band Skarambe, followed by a dog competition at 2pm where canines and their owners competed in categories such as ‘Waggiest Tail’ and ‘Most Like Owner’.

Attendees also enjoyed community stalls and entertainment throughout the day and Middle Street Resource Centre was opened as a ‘chill-out’ area with food and refreshments.

All of the money donated by Peveril Homes went towards the installation of a new ramp on the site – making the annual event more accessible for visitors.

For our Director of Sales and Marketing, Alison Kendall, being associated with Crich Fete was a pleasure and is a relationship which she hopes will continue for many years to come – “We are always keen to get involved within the communities in which we build, and one of our latest development, Foresters View, is situated just five minutes south of Crich,” said Alison.

“We are aware that the fete is a big part of the local community and has been for 30 years, so we hope that the funds donated made a significant difference and that this year’s event was as enjoyable as always for everybody in attendance.” added Alison.

Judy Berry, event organiser for Crich Fete, welcomed the sponsorship and is grateful for the support from Peveril Homes.

“This year’s event was a huge success, with approximately two-thousand attendees!” said Judy.

She continued, “It is crucial for us to attract sponsorship from local companies in order to ensure that the fete continues to be successful and grows year-on-year. We would like to extend a big thank you to Peveril Homes for donating the necessary funds for the construction of the new ramp and improve accessibility at the Fete for many years to come!”
