We were proud to be involved with local community through our sponsorship of this year’s Beeston Carnival!

We are delighted to announce that we were a named sponsor of this year’s Beeston Carnival – an annual event that celebrates the fantastic voluntary work that takes place on a regular basis in and around the Nottingham suburb of Beeston.

2018 marked the thirteenth annual Beeston Carnival, with the celebrations taking place on the 14th July. The event was first organised in 2006 when Lynda Lally, who was mayor at the time, wanted to cast a spotlight on all of the amazing community and voluntary work that was occurring within Beeston and the surrounding areas.

For our Director of Sales and Marketing, Alison Kendall, being associated with Beeston Carnival was an honour and is a relationship which she hopes Peveril can continue for many years to come – “The plans for our exciting new Beeston development have recently been approved, and we are always keen to get involved within the communities in which we build,” said Alison.

“The carnival is such an integral part of the local area and has been for a number of years, so we were glad to hear that this year’s event was hugely enjoyable for everyone that attended.” added Alison.

The day commenced in Beeston Square at 10am with live music, followed by a walking parade led by the Beeston Pipe Band. Meanwhile at Broadgate recreation park, there were community stands from 12pm that showcased the amazing voluntary work completed by Beeston residents and raised money for a range of groups and local businesses.

Middle Street Resource Centre was also open as a ‘chill-out’ area throughout the day, offering food and refreshments throughout the day.

Lynda Lally, organiser of the Beeston Carnival, wholeheartedly welcomed the new partnership and was very grateful for the support from Peveril Homes.

“Sponsorship from local companies is crucial in order to ensure that the carnival can continue to take place every year,” said Lynda.

“We would like to extend a big thank you to Peveril Homes and all of our other sponsors for their generous support ahead of what was yet another fantastic event!” she added.
