Meet our new Customer Care Operative Ian Holmes

From touching up paint, resealing baths and fixing doors or locks, our Customer Care Operative, takes it all in his stride.

Joining the aftersales care team in the Summer of 2020, Ian takes great pride in helping to maintain the high levels of finish that we expect in homes across all our developments.

Looking after our purchasers is one of our main priorities, even after the sale of their new home is completed and that’s one of the reasons why Ian has settled so well into his role with Peveril Homes.

Ian says, “My favourite part of the job is the variety of every day and the fact my work is something I’m truly interested in. This is definitely a job that I can see myself doing for a long time, and especially with Peveril Homes.”

A trained joiner, he explained: “I did my apprenticeship in carpentry and joinery straight out of school with a small maintenance company. Once I’d completed the programme I went on to work for a local builder.

After a period of being self-employed, Ian broadened his skills and worked for a range of businesses including Loughborough University.

“Having held similar roles previously, I always really enjoyed this type of work and so it seemed the perfect fit when I saw that Peveril Homes’ were looking for someone with my skills, that also puts the needs of our customers first.”

As a family man who loves spending time playing with his children, Ian also enjoys the atmosphere of working for a family run business, doing work he’s truly passionate about.

Ian added: “There is such a lovely friendly environment at Peveril Homes, the whole team is great. I would definitely recommend working here.”
