Ashby School left singing in the rain with our donation of 30 new umbrellas
With all the wet weather around this November, it was timely that we provided some much-needed shelter for one local school to see off the autumn showers after we donated 30 Peveril-branded umbrellas to Ashby School.
Our team is currently in the process of building one of our latest developments, Holywell Mill, in Ashby-de-la-Zouch – bringing a gated community of 3 and 4-bedroom properties right on the doorstep of the popular Leicestershire market town.
Wherever we build, we aim to go above and beyond in order to meet our section 106 contributions – so our team decided to make contact with Ashby School to see if we could lend a hand in any way. As our Sales and Marketing Director Alison Kendall goes on to explain, one clear need became apparent very quickly when bouncing ideas around.
“The school suggested the idea of donating umbrellas to keep the staff dry when moving between the many different buildings on site – very appropriate with the wet November weather we’ve endured this year,” says Alison.
“It might sound like a small thing, but we know that these umbrellas will make a big difference to the staff at Ashby School and it’s great to see them in use already!”
The 30 umbrellas arrived on Friday 15th November and since their introduction, they’ve come in handy for the team on several occasions. In fact, it’s safe to say that they can’t go outside without one – as Geoff Staniforth, Headteacher at Ashby School goes on to explain.
“We are very grateful to Peveril for donating the umbrellas which will certainly come in handy, given the very wet weather we have been having lately. The umbrellas will mean that staff can now make sure they stay dry during their lunch and break time duties in the rain,” says Geoff.
The umbrellas were presented to the Senior Student Team at Ashby School by our Sales Advisor, Hazel. We hope they come in handy and keep the team dry for many years to come.
