Lloyd Holmes celebrates a quarter of a century with Peveril Homes

We’re celebrating a significant milestone at Peveril Homes as Senior Quantity Surveyor Lloyd Holmes marks 25 years of service.

Lloyd joined Peveril Homes in 1995 as a Quantity Surveyor and has developed and grown in his role in parallel with our growth as a company.

No stranger to the world of housebuilding, Lloyd previously worked with property developers such as Hassall Homes and Bryant Homes.

Lloyd explained: “From the very beginning of my career aged 18 I’ve worked in the same sector. I started as a Trainee Quantity Surveyor in the commercial house building sector, it’s an area that I’ve enjoyed working in and I wouldn’t want to change.”

Now, as the Senior Quantity Surveyor, Lloyd manages the commercial team who together oversee all the Peveril Homes developments.

Speaking about this achievement, Lloyd said: “I’ve always felt like a part of the family at Peveril Homes. I know my opinion is valued and I enjoy being involved in the whole process that brings superior, quality homes to our customers.

“As Quantity Surveyors it's our job to manage costs and monitor the commercial element for each development whilst ensuring we maintain the high standards Peveril Homes is renowned for.”

It’s the variety of challenges that Lloyd meets daily, which drives his passion and ambition as he looks towards the next quarter of a century with Peveril Homes.

He added: “There’s been numerous projects over the years but those that really stand out for me are the ones that exceed expectations. It's rewarding to see the results that we deliver thanks to a fantastic team effort.

“Peveril Homes is a very family orientated company. Everyone is involved in all areas of the house building process bringing diversity to each day which is why I decided a long time ago to continue my career here.”

Lloyd stated: “I would recommend working at Peveril Homes to anyone. There’s nothing better than working somewhere that you can progress your skills and knowledge but that also values your opinions and that happens every day at Peveril Homes.”
