Save £2,195 a year on your energy bills
At Peveril Homes, we understand that purchasing a new home, or your first home, can be one of life’s biggest decisions. We also understand that rising energy costs can be a worry for many homeowners. In fact, more than 47% of people in the UK find it “very difficult” or “somewhat difficult” to afford their energy bills.
However, owning a new build home could be cheaper than you think. The Home Builders Federation has just released new energy performance figures, which state that choosing a new build over an older property can lead to significant savings on your energy bills.
The average new build energy bill is 57% cheaper than the running costs of older properties, meaning you could save up to £1,685 a year on energy bills with a new home. This saving increases to £2,195 for purchasers of new houses, rather than flats or bungalows, resulting in a saving of £183 a month*.
HBF’s new report also stated that new build homes are increasingly more energy efficient with 85% of new builds achieving an A or B EPC rating.
Our energy-efficient new homes have been crafted with the environment in mind to ensure that you are not only saving on your energy bills but also reducing your carbon footprint. Rated B for energy efficiency, our homes utilise innovative construction methods and materials for superior heat retention.
Each home includes effective insulation in lofts, walls, and floors, double glazing on all windows, and state-of-the-art A-rated appliances like Zanussi fridge freezers and AEG cooking appliances. These features help regulate temperature, reduce heat loss, and enhance overall energy efficiency.
