Peveril Homes makes Christmas a little brighter for vulnerable families
This Christmas, the team at Peveril Homes have chosen Derby based charity, Revive, with its Christmas Appeal as one of the charities they are supporting this year.
The charity recruits Secret Santas who provide gifts for vulnerable children. Those referred to the project may be living in poverty, battling a life-limiting illness, facing the loss of a parent or sibling, living in care or have experienced physical, emotional or domestic abuse.
This year, Revive’s Christmas Appeal is split into two areas: The Secret Santa campaign, hoping to replicate last year’s excellent response, and a crowd funding campaign to support families who are struggling with the cost of living.
Last year, we had such a beautiful response from the families and children who our donation went to, and we were keen to support the charity again this year. Having seen the impact it made, we have donated £200 to both of this year’s campaigns, meaning children will receive presents this Christmas and families will have money to help pay for heating and general living expenses.
The Revive Charity currently supports 200 children and continues to take new referrals every day. It encourages monetary donations for the Secret Santa campaign so it can ensure each child gets a fair gift.
