Top accolade for Lily Street Farm

Our development at Lily Street Farm, Swanwick, has won the Regional Best Partnership with a Local Building Control Team Award from the LABC Building Excellence Awards 2022.

The partnership between our Site Manager Ivan Cooke and Sarah Purvey of Derbyshire Building Control Partnership has developed over several years. Throughout the challenges of the pandemic this collaboration strengthened, providing smooth communication from both parties, to achieve a first-class build specification at the Derbyshire development.

Endorsing the win, Sarah commented: “Originally, I was involved only in terms of visits and regulation on-site. However, as time progressed and my job role has changed, the partnership from my perspective has transformed.” She continues: “It has given me the opportunity to be involved not only in a face-to-face environment with the site team, but also to be present at the plan check stage with the design team. This adds a different aspect to the partnership relationship and provides the opportunity for whole-project involvement, from inception to completion. It allows for the establishment of interdepartmental contact and a deeper understanding of what is trying to be achieved. It also assists in a smoother process that ultimately has meant this exceptional development will benefit the local community in more ways than one.”

Both Ivan’s remarkable moral standards and Sarah’s meticulous attention to detail meant that all decisions were made for the right reasons, with the purchaser in mind. This is reflected in the outstanding quality homes and glowing customer reviews.

Adding high praise to the Peveril Homes team, Sarah added: “The build quality and stringent planning from Ivan has meant that the houses are in fact some of the highest specification I have seen in my career.”

Lily Street Farm, just a short distance from the popular village of Swanwick, offers a stunning selection of 2, 3, 4 and 5-bedroom homes. Expansive green open spaces are carefully placed throughout the development, with ponds and beautiful landscaping, as well as extensive greenways for walking.

This regional winner is now shortlisted for the national LABC Building Excellence Awards, the results of which will be announced in January 2023.

Lily Street Farm will be offering a variety of homes including The Rearsby, The Ingleby, The Bradgate, The Bosworth, The Milford, The Swanwick, The Denby, The Cadeby, The Willesley, and the The Worthington.
