Caroline Marshall moved into her new 2-bedroom semi-detached home at Holborn Place near Ripley after deciding that a new build was the way forward and following a visit to the Peveril Homes sales suite and speaking to Sales Executive, Julie Ord.

Caroline previously lived in Lower Hartshay, Derbyshire, in a 4-bedroom detached house with a 300ft garden. However, she quickly realised that her home was far too big for her to occupy and maintain on her own and decided that it was time to consider downsizing.

She explained: “I knew that wherever I purchased my next home, I needed it to be smaller, manageable and preferably a new build to ensure that I didn’t need to spend a lot of time and money maintaining it.

“I must admit that I’m not into DIY, so I needed a home that I could easily put my mark on, required no work doing and would serve me well for many, many years to come.”

Caroline heard about Peveril Homes and decided it would be the best house builder to help her find the perfect place to settle. A conversation with Julie at the Holborn Place sales suite, followed by a tour around her chosen plot, saw Caroline quickly deciding that this was the home and location for her.

Caroline said: “The whole purchasing process was very professional and organised. Julie was extremely helpful and showed me around the home I was interested in. The moment I took a tour, I knew it was perfect for me and the decision was pretty much made in my mind there and then!”

Since moving in March 2020, Caroline has had time to reflect on her home and appreciates just how perfect the property is for her day-to-day needs.

She commented: “I now live in a two-bedroom semi-detached house and to be honest it’s bigger than most modern homes you see on the market. I’m not overlooked which was one of the things I was looking for and the quality is excellent throughout. I have two spacious double bedrooms and one is fitted with an integrated glass fronted double wardrobe which adds convenience and ample storage.

“The kitchen space is cleverly designed and the lounge has two patio doors looking onto the rear garden making the living space feel open by bringing the outdoors inside. I love how the main bathroom is finished with full-length tiles around the bath. In fact, several of my friends have commented on how much they love this feature!”

Peveril Homes’ commitment to its purchasers doesn’t finish once the keys are handed over. Caroline has first-hand experience of the aftercare that each Peveril customer receives after moving in, showing she’s found not only her dream home, but also the perfect community to be a part of.

Caroline added: “Since I moved in, the aftercare service from the Peveril team has been brilliant - although I’ve hardly needed it because there’s been very few snags with the house. Anything that has come up has been very minor and resolved straight away.

“I’m really happy with my decision to purchase a Peveril home and I can’t see myself ever moving from here - it truly feels like a forever home. The whole community at Holborn Place has been very welcoming and friendly - so I know that I’ve made the right choice in terms of the location. I would like to thank the team at Peveril Homes for all of their support and assistance in making this move happen so smoothly.”
