Congratulations to Dexter, our Christmas card design winner!

Something special has recently been underway at Peveril Homes and we’re getting well and truly prepared for the forthcoming festivities.

Pupils from Shobnall Primary School and Rykneld Primary School in Burton-on-Trent have been busy practising their creativity in designing our annual Christmas cards, with an impressive 180 drawings submitted in total!

Showing our appreciation to the talented young artists, we provided the opportunity for the winning design to receive a fantastic day out, full of adventures and discovery in the heart of the National Forest, with a family day pass to Conkers.

They will find themselves exploring nature, getting creative and enjoying the indoor and outdoor pursuits, such as the Enchanted Forest Play Zone. The winner will also receive a pack of fifty of their cards to send out to friends and family.

Five amazing designs were shortlisted as the standard of entries made it almost impossible to decide on just one, leaving the wonderful Peveril Homes’ social media community to choose the winning design.

We are thrilled to announce that Dexter, year 3 pupil at Shobnall Primary School in Burton-on-Trent came out on top, after we received an overwhelming number of votes across Facebook and Instagram.

Dexter’s special design featured ‘Merry Christmas’ above a roaring fireplace, adorned with lovely red stockings, ready to be filled with festive treats from Santa. Next to the fire is a tall, green Christmas tree decorated with glowing lights, gold ornaments and topped with a star including red and gold wrapped presents at its foot. What we loved most about the drawing was the intricate snowy window scene with Santa Claus and Rudolph flying across the sky in a bright-red sleigh.

The remaining four shortlisted designs will also be printed on the back of each Christmas card to show our gratitude to the designers and they will also each receive packs to give out to their loved ones.
