Edible Garden bears fruit for Woodcroft residents
We are delighted that the landscaping at our Woodcroft development in Moira is beginning to bear a variety of delicious fruits.
Plans for our Woodcroft development featured landscaping that included edible hedgerows and a number of fruit trees, which were planted in 2018 as part of our ongoing commitment to sustainable living. Every year, residents can freely help themselves to a wide range of fruits to help lower the cost of maintaining a healthy, nutritional diet and lifestyle.
Our Technical and Construction Director, Tom Broster, visited Woodcroft in Moira this week to see how this year’s crop is developing and discovered that lots of fruits, such as blackberry, plum and pear, had ripened and are available for residents to pick and enjoy!
Tom said: “I was really pleased to see landscaping bearing lots of fruits for our wonderful Woodcroft community, especially at such a difficult time across the country. We hope that this helps to bring the community closer together and encourages other acts of kindness.”
The hedgerows not only provide free fruits, but they also create a beautiful environment, provide shade, shelter and serenity at Woodcroft.
