Peveril Homes donates £500 for new textbooks at Chilwell Secondary School
Peveril Homes is a community focused house builder through and through and so offering a donation of £500 to put towards textbooks at Chilwell School is something the team was happy to do.
Chilwell Secondary School and Sixth Form is a short 20-minute walk from Peveril Homes’ Myford Place development in Beeston, Nottingham.
With the generous donation from Peveril Homes, Chilwell Secondary School will be purchasing curriculum textbooks required for their successful and popular A-level Mathematics course.
David Phillips, Headteacher at Chilwell School said: “We’re very grateful for the wonderful donation made by Peveril Homes. After meeting with the senior leadership team, the decision was made to purchase the curriculum resources we need for our A-level Mathematics course.”
Alongside so many others, schools have had to discover new and innovative ways to ensure their students are learning to the highest standard possible while we manage our way through the Covid-19 pandemic.
Mr Phillips continued: “We will be putting the donation towards buying enough resources for our Mathematics A-level course to ensure, if students will have to return to home learning, they will have their own copy to support their education.
“The support in buying these textbooks will help us to maintain support for our students through these uncertain times and further into the future. We truly appreciate the support offered by Peveril Homes.”
Peveril Homes is a house builder that is committed to building communities, not just homes and an important aspect of that is supporting the community surrounding its developments.
Alison Kendall, Director of Sales and Marketing at Peveril Homes said: “Peveril Homes is a business with ‘family’ at its heart. Supporting the young people and schools around our developments is important to ensure we build a happy, thriving environment for our purchasers to live and grow in.”
There’s only one spacious 3-bedroom family home remaining at the Myford Place development which boasts a range of contemporary homes crafted with traditional building techniques, easily accessible from Nottingham’s City Centre in one easy tram ride.
