Regional LABC award-win for our Architectural Technologist, Charles Worthington!

It was Friday night delight for our Architectural Technologist Charles Worthington on 17th May, after he took home the LABC East Midlands Building Excellence Award for Residential Construction Professional of the Year.

The LABC Regional Building Excellence Awards are the largest business to business awards in the building control sector – celebrating achievements and rewarding excellent projects, outstanding companies and individuals that continuously go the extra mile.

The LABC network covers local authorities across England and Wales and is split into 12 regions – with each holding its own award ceremony. Regional winners from each category are then shortlisted for the LABC Grand Finals which are held in London later this year.

This year’s glittering East Midlands Building Excellence Award ceremony was held at Leicester’s Athena on Friday 17th May and was well attended by professionals from across the region.

Charles Worthington, Architectural Technologist at Peveril Homes, took home the award for Residential Construction Professional of the Year, which recognises individuals that go above and beyond to ensure an outstanding working relationship with local authorities whilst maintaining a commitment to excellent buildings.

Judges look for strong working relationships with LABC surveyors, build quality, management of safety and control on site and evidence of excellent design. Entrants must also demonstrate technical awareness, good communication and problem solving abilities.

Speaking after receiving the award, Charles said, “It is an honour to be recognised by the LABC in this way – it hasn’t quite sunk in yet!”

He continued, “At Peveril Homes we set very high standards for every aspect of the business. I’ve been in my role for nearly two years and I owe a lot to my colleagues for helping me settle in so quickly and for making my role easier by working closely with me at all times to ensure that we achieve the best results possible for every project we undertake.”

Our Director of Sales and Marketing, Alison Kendall, is full of praise for Charles and sees this award as fully justified after working alongside him for over a year.
