Peveril Homes Team

We stepped up to the challenge!

Peveril provides modern, luxury homes in many areas. With years of traditional house building experience.

Our group of intrepid explorers laced up their walking boots to conquer a demanding 20 mile hike in the Peak District.

In aid of the Youth Adventure Trust, a team of four venturers joined others from the house building sector to raise vital funds that will deliver adventure camps and support to young people.

Starting from Castleton in the Hope Valley, and finishing at Torside Reservor in Glossop, the Housebuilder Challenge 2022 route included summiting the three highest peaks; Kinder Scout (636m), Bleaklow Head (633m) and Higher Shelf Stones (622m).

Speaking of the challenge, Sales Manager, Karina Lang said “The day was absolutely exhausting, but we powered through, knowing that every step we took meant more money being raised for such a valuable cause. It’s so important that young people have access to the outdoors, and the Youth Adventure Trust ensures that they can do this whilst learning new skills and having fun in the process”.

Karina was joined by colleagues from Peveril Homes; Rachel West - Head of Customer Service, Paul Brennan – Production Manager and Tom Broster – Technical and Construction Director.

The monumental effort from the team has resulted in an amazing £2,300 being raised for the Charity.

The Youth Adventure Trust has been using outdoor adventure to inspire young lives since 1992. Since they began, they have helped over 4,000 vulnerable young people aged 11 – 16 years old. Their long term early intervention programme has made a massive difference to the young people who have taken part, offering 120 places to young people each year.

Karina added: “Knowing that the funds we have raised will help young people across the country to develop their confidence, resilience and life skills is hugely important to our the whole team at Peveril Homes. We really did try to put our best foot forward and step in the right direction to raise vital funds in the 2022 Housebuilder Challenge.”
