We’re thrilled to sponsor St Charles’s Catholic Pre-School’s Bonfire Night extravaganza!
At Peveril Homes, we proudly strive to give back to our development’s local communities. So, when the PTA from one of our local schools, St. Charles’s Catholic Pre-School, contacted Sales Manager, Stuart Brookes, we were so pleased to help out and sponsor their Bonfire Night event. We donated the money to purchase the dazzling fireworks, which will help to raise funds and enrich the children’s school-life.
St. Charles’s Catholic Pre-School’s bonfire event took place on Thursday 4th November, within the school grounds. A selection of attractions was also present for all to enjoy, including a food stall that will offered hotdogs and vegetarian options as well as sweet stands. Sparklers, glowsticks and other goodies were also available to purchase, ensuring a magical experience for the children, whilst raising vital funds to further add to the pupil’s learning.
Teresa Kennedy, Chair of St. Charles’s Catholic Pre-School PTA commented on Peveril Homes’ generous donation: “From all at the PTA and the school, we are extremely grateful to Peveril Homes for providing much-needed funds. Their generosity has allowed us to purchase the fireworks and enabled the bonfire extravaganza to go ahead.
“St. Charles’s endeavour to deepen and strengthen children’s natural abilities by providing them with the healthiest environment possible. Everyone involved with organising the event has prioritised the wellbeing of the children and their families, with the help of a professional pyrotechnic specialist. We are so pleased that the spectacular fireworks display was safely enjoyed by all.”
Proceeds from the Bonfire Night event will ensure the children can benefit from Poetry and Poppies: Stories from World War One, which is coming to the school in November. The workshop, run by West End in Schools, will aim to investigate the people of the Great War and their stories.
Split over five sittings, the 132 children that attend St Charles’ Catholic School will create scenes to perform to each other at the end of the day. Weaving together poetry, interviews with soldiers, and personal accounts, the St. Charles’ pupils will discover what life was like during the First World War.
We are so pleased to have been invited to be a key part in this fantastic event.
